Floyd’s Veggies

Ingredients:

  • veggies – any kind or amount but no beans.
  • splash of soy sauce
  • splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • splash of water
  • salt and lemon pepper to taste
  • optional – cooked proteins like shrimp, chicken, or strips of beef

Directions:

Use a heavy big skillet. Use splashes thoughtfully or perhaps generously. Put it all in the skillet and cover. Steam for 3 minutes.

From Floyd McRae. Grandma loved that Floyd loved to cook. She wrote up the recipes we have from him. Not many. He apparently didn’t use recipes, but I remember him being very specific about extra virgin olive oil. Floyd lived until he was about 103. He liked to drink and said that he could drink as much as he wanted to all his life as long as he was done by 7pm. I hear that is good medical advice. Always go to sleep as close to sober as possible.
