This recipe was adapted from a few photocopied pages of the Betty Crocker’s Cookbook. Kate Grant gave them to me. She has been mistaken for me or perhaps my sister many a time. We actually had matching mini-vans for years. Bob met her first. Before I met her, I gave her a huge pile of my maternity clothes after Ari was born. She gave me a huge pile of her maternity clothes after her Charlie was born. Her husband, Will, has been Zach’s boss for years and we all get along well on skiing trips and BBQ’s at the bus and river rafting days. It’s good to have friends as close as family when family is so far away.
