Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 C flour
- 1 C Crisco (shortening)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbls. sugar
- 6 Tbls. ice cold water
Directions:
Cut shortening in flour until mealy (looks like peas). Add 6 tablespoons water and mash with a fork until you can blend to a ball. Roll out and put in a pie dish. Trim edges, prick with a fork bottom and inside edge, put a piece of wax paper in a dish and add 1/2 cup of rice. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Fill with desired filling. If making a baked pie, bake per directions of the recipe.
