Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 6-10 Apples – cored and chopped small
  • 1/4 tsp or so of Cinnamon
  •  1 & 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice

Topping Ingredients:

  • 3/4 C old fashioned oats (quick oats isn’t as crispy)
  • 3/4 C Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 C Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt (or not if using salted butter)
  • 1/2 C cold butter cut into small cubes

Directions:

If you like, peel the apples. (I don’t.) Chop small. Put them in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle cinnamon and lemon juice over them.

Mix up the  topping ingredients and then add in the butter. Spread over the top of apples.

Oven Temp: 350
Time: 60 mins or until it looks right to you.

Comments:

Remember to enjoy while hot with vanilla ice cream on top!

From the Internet and because of how much effort it takes to ignore and gloss over  all the ads all over these recipe sites, I’m not giving them credit or gratitude. This one might need some tweaking. I love apple crisp in the fall and I’m willing to play with what I have here. I hope you are too.
