Several parts to this with a few ingredients lists – dig in and enjoy the process. It so good!
Crust Ingredients:
- 1/2 butter
- 1 1/4 C sifted flour
- 1/3 C sugar
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Mix together and spread in a greased springform pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
Filling Ingredients:
Part 1 – Mix together and pour over baked crust.

- 1 8 oz. package of cream cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Filling Ingredients – Part 2:

- 3 or 4 sliced apples
- 1/3 C sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
Toss apples in sugar and cinnamon and arrange on top of the cheese. (They will sink in a little. I usually make a circle around the edges and work my way to the middles. The leftover apple slices are delicious.) Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
Optional Glaze – Ingredients:
- 1/4 C apricot preserves
- 2 Tbls. water
- optional slivered almonds
Directions:
Mix together preserves and water. Brush on the cake after it has cooled so that you can remove it from the springform pan (30-60 minutes). Sprinkle almond on topRefrigeratete and then serve.
