Cake Ingredients:
- Melt 2 sticks of margarine
- 4 Tbls. cocoa
- 1 C water
- 2 C flour
- 2 C sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 C buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Bring margarine, cocoa, and water to a boil. Remove from heat and add flour. Mix well. Add eggs, buttermilk, soda, vanilla, and mix well. Pour into Pam sprayed jelly roll pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400.
Frosting Ingredients:
- 1 Stick margarine
- 4 Tbls. cocoa
- 6 Tbls. milk
- 1 box of confectionary sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 C chopped nuts
Directions:
Bring margarine, cocoa, and milk to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add the sugar. Mix in the vanilla and nuts. Pour over hot cake.

It says it serves 30. I remember this came from Mrs. King. Kathy and I both wanted this for the first edition of the cookbook. Mom finally found the recipe and we’re all living happily ever after.
